Former OFW gets DOST nod to upgrade ad business
After years of working in the advertising industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and returning home to build his own enterprise, former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Rhobert F. Fadero formally secured support from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Batangas in upgrading his advertising business through the Innovations for Filipinos Working Distantly from the Philippines (iFWD PH) Program.

After years of working in the advertising industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and returning home to build his own enterprise, former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Rhobert F. Fadero formally secured support from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Batangas in upgrading his advertising business through the Innovations for Filipinos Working Distantly from the Philippines (iFWD PH) Program.
The assistance was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held at the DOST-Batangas Provincial Office in Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City on June 10, 2026.
Under the program, Mr. Fadero’s MPRINT Advertising Services received support for the acquisition of a laser cutting machine to improve production precision, expand service capability, and increase business productivity.
Signing the agreement were Rhobert F. Fadero, Owner of MRPRINT Advertising Services, and Leandro L. Lincuran as witness. Representing DOST-CALABARZON was Ms. Felina C. Malabanan, Provincial Science and Technology Director of DOST-Batangas.
The iFWD PH Program supports Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and returning migrants in establishing and expanding technology-based enterprises by providing interventions that transform overseas experience into sustainable local opportunities.
Founded in 2020 during the pandemic, MRPRINT Advertising Services carried forward the expertise that Fadero built since 2006 while working overseas in the advertising sector.
From its operations in Barangay San Sebastian, Lipa City, the company has grown to serve clients across Luzon through services including tarpaulin printing, stickers, panaflex, signages, T-shirt printing, vehicle wrapping, and customized advertising solutions.
Through this initiative, MRPRINT aims to improve cutting precision and accuracy for higher-quality and more detailed outputs, accelerate production turnaround to accommodate a greater volume of orders, and expand the range of materials that can be processed to diversify its products and services.
The intervention also targets increased production capability and at least a 10 percent growth in income, helping the enterprise remain competitive while continuing to provide customized and customer-focused advertising solutions.
